TREATING YOUR SIDE EFFECTS SHOULDN’T BE AS CHALLENGING AS YOUR CANCER TREATMENT

Radiation dermatitis is skin inflammation resulting from external beam radiation. It is unpleasant, uncomfortable and the most common side effect of radiation therapy. It may appear as red, itchy or peeling skin. In mild cases, it can be similar to a light sunburn. But in extreme cases, the skin may be blistered and oozing. Worse, it can interrupt and delay treatment which can increase the risk of local recurrence of cancer.

Rika Skincare offers a better, more natural way to recover. Rika is formulated by a radiation oncologist using only organic ingredients for your natural skincare recovery.

FAQs

Aloe vera gel has been used on skin burns for centuries, and may offer some level of relief. However, when aloe vera gel was compared to a placebo during radiation treatments in a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial, no benefit was found.  The severity scores were virtually identical.  There is simply no evidence from clinical trials to suggest that topical aloe vera is effective.
